The short version
SuperShot does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. Everything the app captures stays on your device. There is no telemetry, no analytics, no advertising, and no account.
What the app accesses
Screen content
When you take a screenshot or record your screen, SuperShot captures the screen region you select. These captures are created at your request and saved to the location you choose on your own device.
Microphone (only when recording with audio)
If you start a screen recording with microphone audio enabled, SuperShot accesses your microphone to record sound into the video file. The microphone is used only during an active recording you have started, and the audio is written only into your local recording. SuperShot does not access the microphone at any other time.
What we do not do
- We do not transmit your screenshots, recordings, or microphone audio anywhere. They are not uploaded to us or to any third party.
- We do not collect usage analytics or telemetry.
- We do not display advertising or include advertising SDKs.
- We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email, or contact details through the app.
- We do not bundle third-party software with the app.
Where your captures are stored
All screenshots and recordings are stored locally on your device, in the folders you select. You are in control of these files: you can move, share, or delete them at any time. Because they never leave your device through SuperShot, we have no access to them.
Permissions
SuperShot is a packaged Windows desktop application. It requests the microphone capability so that audio recording can work when you choose to enable it. You can manage app permissions, including microphone access, in Windows Settings under Privacy & security.
Children's privacy
SuperShot is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and post the revised version at this address.
